Praline Connection Restaurant Review:

Praline Connection lies just a short walk from the French Quarter and at the heart of Frenchmen Street's music scene. Dining rooms have white walls adorned with black curtains and are lined with shelves displaying the kitchen's packaged wares and other local edibles. The specialty is satisfying Creole fare, including dishes described as “stewed,” “smothered” and “fried.” So there's fried or stewed chicken with greens, home-style gumbo, jambalaya, several varieties of beans and rice, stuffed peppers and sweet potato pie. Praline bread pudding is a belt-busting delight; the connecting confectionery also dispenses pralines and other sweets, all made on the premises. Praline Connection has an outlet in Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, just in case you want to take some pralines home, but to enjoy the authentic experience, go to the main location. If you plan a whole evening at French Quarter bars, fortify yourself here first.
