An ideal spot for those seeking red meat in a jovial atmosphere.
Prime & Wine Restaurant Review:
Prime & Wine is not for everyone, but it clearly has its followers, specifically, well-heeled businessmen and those who appreciate huge slabs of red meat and constant sports coverage on TV, in a dark, enclosed cave of a dining room. The mostly female servers are very friendly, often knockouts, and sling the hash in black-leather outfits whose lack of coverage might test Mexico City’s decency laws. So what about the food? Portions, sadly, try to make up for where taste is lacking: steaks and the famed prime rib may be tougher and less flavorful than expected (especially given their price) and à la carte sides like mashed potatoes, french fries and grilled vegetables are edible, but uninspiring. None of that, however, puts a damper on the Playboy mansion-like proceedings, and both customers and waitstaff seem to have a rollicking time of it.
