Priority Public House Restaurant Review

: This lively gastropub on Highway 101 has the just-right mix of casual ambience, friendly service and good eats. Start with an inventive sipper such as the Rum-plestiltskin with Ron Matusalem rum, passion fruit syrup, raspberries and a splash of white ale for good measure. Fancy craft beer? They've got 22 on tap. You can’t go wrong with the crispy Brussels and bacon or the BLT bites with a sriracha aïoli drizzle to start. We also like the PPH ahi poke with toasted pistachio nuggets. Burgers are burly and juicy; the house signature sports organic grass-fed beef stuffed with roasted jalapeños and chipotle peppers for a bit of a fiery kick, and topped with jack cheese and bread-n-butter pickles. Be sure to upgrade to the truffle fries. Comfort food abounds with pulled pork sandwiches, brisket and mac ‘n’ cheese. For lighter nibbles try the kale salad with slivers of citrus or the ceviche. Brunch means frittatas, buttermilk waffles and bottomless mimosas. At night the place can get noisy but it's all in good fun as Priority Public House is a little portal into the Encinitas scene.
