: This is the suburban outdoor shopping mall's answer to the English pub mystique. Fish 'n' chips, bangers and mash, shepherd's pie --- all the traditional pub grub is here. You'll encounter happy hour specials, Monday trivia night and Wednesday half-price wines. There are plenty of starters to share, from the beer cheese and pretzel bread to bacon-wrapped dates or flatbreads crowned with spinach or Italian sausage. Dishes from throughout the British Commonwealth include spicy Jamaican jerk shrimp, seared ahi satay and fresh mussels in red curry sauce. Save room for the Brit favorite of Tipsy Laird, berries sautéed with brandy atop fried pound cake and authentic English custard. The centerpiece of the restaurant's dining room is its handcrafted bar, from which guests can order up English drafts and cask-conditioned beers and ales from throughout the motherland. All the furniture and most of the accessories were shipped over from England to complete the British experience. |
