This ca. 1876 train station-turned-restaurant has railroad memorabilia hanging from every available space, a Cheers-like bar with one of the best Happy Hour spreads around, and a window-wall (where the platform used to be) that gives diners a ringside seat as trains rumble by. The lunch-dinner menu runs the gamut from lite-bite quiche and veggie-dense salads to hearty and trendy Tex-Mex, beef, chicken and fish entrées. Everything is presented with the little touches that turn eating into dining, and servers are small-town friendly. The sausage-ricotta stuffed mushrooms come bubbling and steaming to the table. London broil is served with a side of crisp potato pancakes, while baked salmon marinated in bourbon, brown sugar and soy sauce is served with a large side of stir-fry vegetables. Save room for the signature chocolate snowball, a rich, dense brownie covered in whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate sauce.
