Pure Lotus is the Chinese capital’s most well known upscale vegetarian restaurant. This sexy converted warehouse has a no-alcohol policy but is still very chill with flowing drapery and shadowed Buddhist imagery. Carnivores can opt for the inventive fake meats: Peking duck, a fragrant shark’s fin soup, and salmon hand rolls. And you can always order a detox health drink. Food for the soul, as they say.
