This double-decker, industrial-looking brewpub features some rare amenities for the area: a huge, free parking lot and several large event gathering spaces, to start, making it an easy stop for private, corporate or collegiate happenings. Big seems to be the name of the game for the food as well, as portions are what can only be described as Midwestern in scope --- somewhat refreshing so near to Berkeley's Gourmet Ghetto. Though bigger isn't necessarily better (our $15 nachos were a vast, flavorless pile of mainly chips), fish ‘n’ chips, pizzas and ribs are as okay as they are ample, and lovers of the brewery's signature ales don't seem to complain. Flatscreen TVs boast all manner of sports; kids are made very welcome. Inquire about brewery tours.
