THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Pyramid Restaurant Review:
A tiny, rough-hewn eatery behind Howard University, Pyramid serves quality Moroccan food at rock-bottom prices. It’s a hang-out for students, but it also sees its fair share of locals who drop in for mega servings of lamb tagine on rice, chicken couscous, gyros and kufta, or specially seasoned Moroccan meatballs. Return visits will allow for sampling the b’stilla and the falafel---crispy and flavorful, this kitchen’s version may be the best in town. There are also a handful of American favorites, including hamburgers and cheeseburgers and fries, but only the truly unadventurous would forsake an order of sautéed marinated goat to eat a meatball sub. Save room for the halvah, as dense as the best fudge with a barely nutty undertone.
