Tuck into Quetzal for a quick bite and energy boost after touring the famed Sun Studio located next door. A satellite of a San Francisco coffeehouse of the same name, Quetzal has plenty of California style and many healthy choices, not to mention the first-rate house-roasted coffee. Breakfast includes a scrambled-egg-and-lox pizza, frittatas and waffles. The rest of the day, Quetzal serves sandwiches on crusty ciabatta bread, as well as hearty salads. Drinks run the gamut from decadent coffees and ice-cream drinks to smoothies such as the Repel Evil Magic with soy protein or bee pollen, plus there's a full bar with designer cocktails. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the spot transforms into a hip lounge and stays open until 3 a.m.
