THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Racine's Restaurant Restaurant Review:
For years now Racines has maintained a healthy business by doing what few Denver restaurants can do---stick to it guns and ignore changing trends. Instead of caving to pressure in a constantly morphing scene, the house has held its own serving flavorful wholesome American meals. Its helped that theyve remained true to their target audience---the downtown business clientele. For the manager looking to brainstorm over a bite or the executive hoping to close the big one in sight of the bar, this is the place to pick up a tab. The array of homemade pies and pastries here are enough to keep the suits coming back. The house also whips up a whopping selection of just-like-Moms sunrise specials including some of the best flapjacks and waffles in Denver. Lunch and dinner crowds revel in savory soups, stews, quiches and sandwiches and respectable cuts of beef and bird. A post-meal or post-deal cocktail at the bar makes for a good end-of-the-day transaction. Hungry for a little nibble after a show at the nearby Denver Center for the Performing Arts? We suggest a billowy triangle of cream pie.
