Rak Thai’s brightly hued green walls, contemporary seating and free Wi-Fi are among its instantly inviting details. Start with the chicken satay or fresh spring rolls before moving on to staple dishes like pad thai and saucy drunken noodles. The modestly priced menu is matched with massive portions, plus each entrée includes a cup of homemade soup and a ginger-dressed salad. More adventurous diners might try the house specials, such as the pineapple fried rice (a halved pineapple filled with fresh vegetables), shrimp skewers or mussels swimming in green curry. Save room for the bubble teas, which come in an impressive array of flavors. The small dessert menu is worth perusing, too.
