Rangoli Restaurant Review:

The kitchen presents a familiar Indian menu with few surprises. That’s a comfort for those who can’t quite get used to the foods from the great Subcontinent; for others, it’s somewhat disappointing. Hence, you’ll encounter the usual eggplant and vegetable sides, biryanis, curries and tandoori dishes as you would find at other Indian restaurants, with one or two exceptions. Consider the chicken chettinad, ostensibly hot, but here, tamed down for the Western palate. The lamb kebab and dal makhani are pleasant though not challenging, and the fruit jalebi---battered and fried pieces of fruit---miss the mark. Perhaps the best offering is the Bombay Burgers appetizer, a surprising potato “burger” in a bun.
