THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Rave 552 Restaurant Review:

In what used to be Mildred’s, we have Rave 552. While it may sound like an after-hours club, it’s a three-meals-a-day restaurant in a neighborhood where such places were once common but have since been usurped by spots that only serve dinner with $20 entrées. The look is faux retro with lots of purple and leopard prints, and the crowd leans to male DINKS (Double Income No Kids) from the neighborhood who can walk because parking here is a bear. The prepared cases feature a lot of salads and morning pastries. However, you can also get eggs in the mornings and meatloaf and mashed potatoes, vegetable lasagna and ziti with chicken and broccoli in an Alfredo sauce in the evenings. Two people can eat and have dessert and spend less than $30; too bad they can’t have a glass of wine.
