: Red/bar brasserie is designed as a colonial-style eatery with a small bar area and an airy dining room dotted with potted palms surrounded by multi-pane windows. The lively scene heats up in the summer when it is impossible to get in without a reservation. The menu reflects a variety of influences, with appetizers like tahini hummus with pickled vegetables, local oysters with mignonette sauce and mixed ceviche with rock shrimp, bay scallops and octopus. Mains are a bit more classically continental, with a truffled chicken breast served with mushroom risotto, fresh pappardelle with short rib ragù, or grilled local swordfish. Vegetarian options are available for all courses. Those looking for something sweeter won't be disappointed, with selections ranging from profiteroles to flourless chocolate cake, ideal accompanied by one of the digestifs.
