Executive chef Ashley Abodeely (NoMad) serves up luxe American fare at The Restaurant at Arts District Firehouse Hotel in DTLA. The historic 1927 firehouse has been restored to a modern boutique hotel; the restaurant is mostly a charming, long covered patio running the length of the brick-walled building, while the marble bar perches just inside. Abodeely’s wood-fired grill specialties feature lamb loin, branzino and a burger with smoked onions, while other dishes include a smoked trout tartine and grilled maitake mushroom with sumac aïoli. Brunch spotlights shakshuka, steak and eggs, and a baby kale Caesar salad.
