THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Restaurant Lozano Restaurant Review:
Lozano began serving Southwestern cooking in 1981, long before it was trendy, and the restaurant still manages to remain imaginative. The space is light and airy, brightened with bold, contemporary art. Executive chef Isauro Hernandez’s menu is highlighted by a crispy goat cheese quesadilla with spicy chipotle sauce, coconut shrimp with caramelized-onion dipping sauce and hanger steak with tomato-pepita salad and black bean churros. In addition to the Southwestern creations, the menu is laced with Southeast Asian influences, including salmon in curry sauce. Lozano takes its wine seriously and even offers special winemaker dinners. Whatever you order, make sure to finish with the sweet red yam flan.
