Vietnamese dishes are served without much to-do, but the simple food speaks for itself. To start things off, try something classic like the delightfully fresh summer roll or the crispy spring rolls. Entrées are traditional, including spicy clay pot catfish, marinated spare ribs and stir-fried noodles. The pan-fried salted shrimp are crisp, fresh and must-try. There is also a variety of noodle bowls, or pho, including beautifully spiced beef soup. Each bowl is served with a side plate of bean sprouts, basil, cilantro, jalapeños and limes to give the broth extra flavor. If you want to be completely authentic, salty plum soda and pickled salty lemonade are among the exotic try-if-you-dare drinks.
