THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Ricky's Fish Tacos Restaurant Review:
Baja native Ricky Piña uses a family recipe handed down by his grandmother, dipping fresh hunks of fish in a creamy spiced batter and then frying them to golden, light and crispy. They’re popped onto a warm griddled tortilla and topped with cabbage and fresh salsa; enhance it with three additional homemade salsas, and then cool down with a refreshing cucumber-spinach agua fresca or cinnamon-laced horchata. Shrimp tacos are also good, but we prefer the fish. Piña whips up his tacos beneath a tent in a Chinatown parking lot on Main Street, which doesn’t stop fans from lining up all day (expect a wait at lunch). It’s a good idea to check his Twitter for opening and closing times, as Piña sometimes sells out early.
