Uncle Julio’s offers Tex-Mex fare and a lively ambience, yet it's one of the few local places where high decibel levels really do not distract. At its Bethesda branch, crowds are pleased to hang around for the chips-and-dip combo before the rounds of enchiladas, sizzling fajitas, chiles rellenos and even broiled quail that emerge with baskets of freshly baked tortillas from the kitchen.
