Riptide Rockin Sushi & Teppan Grill Restaurant Review:
Riptide (and its sister restaurant Chomp in downtown Fullerton) is a more modern rendition of Benihana. Sit at the teppanyaki tables if you want to experience the sight of meat, seafood and rice acrobatically prepared on flat woks. Besides the drama, there is fresh and classic sushi, plus signature fusion rolls concocted by executive chef Ken Cruz. Riptide’s menu also includes soups, salads, Asian entrées and American chicken, pork, beef and seafood dishes. Sandwiches and burgers can be found on the lunch menu as well. Weekend Champagne brunch presents offerings like fluffy pancakes and breakfast burritos, and there’s a reasonable late-night happy hour menu rolled out after 9 p.m. each evening.
