Panorama Restaurant Review

: Panorama, owned by the Sena family who also operate La Famiglia, offers d├ęcor and cuisine that evoke leisurely meals of homemade pasta and an abundance of good wine. An antipasto misto gathers imported meats and cheeses with roasted peppers and marinated eggplant; fazzoletti pasta is tossed with earthy black trumpet mushrooms and chestnut pesto. Roasted veal shoulder is served with crushed fingerlings and a brown butter and sage sauce, and the pan-roasted salmon arrives atop spaghetti squash and eggplant caponata. The wine list includes 150 wines available by the glass from the specially built cruvinet. Sample a flight of wine in the candlelit Il Bar, a spot ideal for trysting. For extra-special private affairs, reserve the wine cellar. Happy hour (Sunday to Friday 5 p.m.-7 p.m.; Saturday 3 p.m.-5 p.m.) in the wine bar presents good deals, with $5 off wine flights; $5 wines by the glass; $4 beer; $4 off select cocktails; and half-off select appetizers.
