Riverside Crab House Restaurant Review:
A relaxed and casual joint, Riverside specializes in two-foot platters (okay, so they're garbage-can lids) heaped with sweet corn, hush puppies, scallops, soft shell crab, steamed blue crab, clams, catfish, and a little gator tail to make the visitors squirm. (Believe us, it doesn't taste just like chicken. More like swordfish morphed with frogs' legs.) Thursday night is all-you-can-eat crab night, which includes the delicious garlic version. The attached Yardarm Lounge is a great place from which to spy on the four mostly tame monkeys who live on a tiny island a stone's throw away. After a few drinks, it's easier to advance some inspired theories as to just why there are monkeys on Monkey Island (for our money, we're betting they were extras from Tarzan films made in Homosassa in the 1960s).
