The unassuming exterior of this little treasure on the Berkeley-Albany border belies the enticing aromas and flavors and fancy-restaurant trimmings inside. Some of our favorite starters are the house-smoked trout and the Caesar salad. Entrées include roasted chicken breast, top sirloin with crispy gnocchi and lobster sausage. For dessert, the classic hot fudge sundae is hard to resist. At the back of the small restaurant is a wall of glass that looks out on an enclosed garden.
