Robert's Maine Grill Restaurant Review:
Robert's is a welcome respite from the touristy Route 1 strip near the Kittery Outlet Malls. With a view of Spinney Creek, the restaurant sports a sleek stainless steel bar, a good stop before moving on to more family-friendly dining upstairs or downstairs. You’ll enjoy all things lobster here prepared in many ways, whether it’s on a salad, in a roll, on the plate with all the fixings or in the lobster slider appetizer or on a pizza. Steamers come steeped in Maine Allagash White beer, just for a little more traditional Maine emphasis. Fish lovers may want to try the grilled cod or the lobster and mussel spaghetti with a Fresno chili tomato sauce. Fish ‘n’ chips is a favorite, too. Meat eaters will enjoy the traditional New England pot roast dinner. For dessert, blueberry crumble pie à la mode comes in full size or "bite size" for those who just want a taste, and the orange-glazed pound cake with mascarpone whipped cream is another good bet. There’s a limited wine list and plenty of Maine-made microbrews available along with some colorful cocktails.
