THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Rosebud Restaurant Review:

Very involved with the local farm-to-table scene, chef/owner Ron Eyester has for a neighbor the Morningside Farmers Market that assembles every Saturday morning on the adjacent parking lot. From there, he purchases directly from some of the area’s best farmers. So while the lovely, crisp calamari may come from Point Judith, Rhode Island, the chicken hails out of Springer Mountain in north Georgia. Local charcuterie specialist The Spotted Trotter makes a fine andouille that adorns the shrimp and grits. Southern flavors continue in the quite classical house-made pimento cheese; trout is from Bramlett Trout Farms in Suches, Georgia; Sweet Grass Dairy cheeses are from near Thomasville. Our favorite brunch dish is the fried oysters topping grits and benne seed chicken gravy with a poached egg perched atop. A raft of desserts includes a cake made with the Mexican Coca-Cola that's among the offered beverages; local ice cream guru High Road provides ice creams. The wine list seems much improved, and while not long, makes up for it with smart, intriguing selections, all proposed by the glass. A reserve list of bottles also is available.
