THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Royal China Restaurant Review:
Royal China is a spacious, glitzily decorated hall. Dim sum brunches on weekends attract a mixed audience, making it a very special cross-cultural experience. Lunchtime dim sum seems rather ordinary. View this as Chinese comfort fare, offering such dishes as pork with eggplant and black beans or salt-and-pepper shrimp. Dishes come with a choice of hot-and-sour or egg drop soup, and these versions are a cut above the ordinary. A platter of stir-fried vegetables for the table rounds out the dining experience and the nutrition. Many selections will appeal to a range of diners, while others will satisfy patrons looking for the more exotic, such as those featuring tripe, eel, frogs’ legs and the like. For dessert, snag a custard tart from one of the rolling carts. Hot tea is very good. Beer and wine are offered, but there’s nothing special listed.
