![]() : This unassuming sports bar on Avenue C comes awfully close to serving the same quality of burger as giants like Corner Bistro, Burger Joint and DuMont. Smooth black surfaces and flat-screen TVs tuned to ESPN keep things simple: only the surprisingly spacious and quiet back garden seems out of place here. The décor is superfluous compared to the main event: the sizeable burgers. There’s plenty of bun (a sesame seed brioche) to cover the patty, and the meat is properly cooked, to a pinkish medium rare. Other items on the abbreviated menu include a chicken sandwich and grilled cheese. Expect plenty of beers on tap. |
