Sabai Sabai is located one block off Green Lake and the small, two-tone dining room is welcoming. The food bursts with the flavor of fresh herbs and spice. We love the larb gai (an entrée salad of ground chicken served with rice and a wedge of cabbage) and the intriguing combination of sweet Thai basil with refreshing mint in a dressing of lime juice and crushed red pepper. Another favorite is Swimming Angel, a luxurious dish of perfectly cooked chicken breast served on top of baby spinach leaves and dressed with the seriously addictive peanut sauce. The beer and wine list is tight and appropriately chosen for the often spicy dishes. Green Lake during summer months is hoppin' and Sabai Sabai is a great option within the line-up of places to go after a day playing in the sun. Loosely translated, the name means don't worry, be happy, and we couldn't agree more.
