Sacha Restaurant Review:

Natural lighting, royal blue tones and antique furniture come together to achieve a warm and inviting bistro-style dining space that is charming and informal. Chef Sacha Hormaechea draws on Spain’s premium raw ingredients to create traditional provincial Spanish dishes that have garnered him a loyal following. Begin with appetizers such as oyster escabeche (picked oysters), fried artichokes and anchovies on homemade tomato bread. For mains, we suggest the signature dish of “falsa lasana de erizos” (fake sea urchin lasagna), which is spider crab ravioli with sea urchins and hot jalapeño-infused oil. As well as seafood, Hormaechea is famed for his meats, with his beef with bone marrow reaching legendary status within the city. A condensed wine menu lists a well-considered selection of options from many of Spain’s finest vineyards. Try the Emilio Rojo Ribeiro, a crisp and refreshing white that complements Hormaechea’s rich cuisine. Finish with Galician filloas (crêpes) with syrup, lemon sorbet or tocinillo de cielo, which is a light and fluffy flan with egg yolks and sugar.
