The cantina-chic setting comes with wood-slat blinds, an elaborate tree sculpture behind the bar and glowing wood and glass tables creating an intimate vibe for those lucky enough to snag a seat. In addition to the more than 75 tequila selections, which are available by two-ounce pour, in flights or mixed in a host of tasty drinks, a nice, creative Mexican menu is available into the wee hours. Start with creamy guacamole (also available flecked with fruit or with chipotle) or shrimp and seasonal fish ceviche. And do try the tortas, which range from steak to chicken chorizo topped with chipotle ranch; they’ll leave you asking, “Is this really bar food?” Among entrées, the marinated skirt steak is a standout; ditto anything with black beans. Wrap things up with an empanada-like apple tart. Also of note are the monthly tequila dinners, which are a steal starting at about $45, pairings included.
