The warm sound of a jazz combo may be the most remarkable feature of this jazz supper club. The food is respectable: calamari with cherry peppers, capers and Parmesan make one of the better sharable appetizers. Main courses can take you from steak to seafood, and the salmon is done to order. Sambuca is a hit with the weekend Buckhead crowd; making reservations is essential to avoid a two-hour wait. There's no cover charge except Thursday and Friday nights (variable, from $15-$35 depending on the act), but if you occupy a table, you'll be expected to incur at least $17 per person in food charges, and splitting plates will cost a very fair $3. Otherwise, a seat at the bar is what you'll get. Management strongly suggests an 18 percent minimum gratuity, but service is first-rate. Smoking is allowed only on the patio.
