Sam's BBQ-1 Restaurant Review:
Showing the classic pink smoke ring, proving they were slow-cooked over wood, the baby-back ribs at Sam’s sport a delectable seasoned rub and are moist, meaty and tender. Get the sauce on the side. Other smoked meats include pulled pork, chicken, beef short ribs and tasty sausage. We also like the Brunswick stew. The mac 'n' cheese has been a standout, but on our last outing the dish lacked its accustomed heft. The meal deal is the sampler platter, costing $20 plus $2 for sharing; it provides two sides and a taste of all the meats except the beef ribs. For dessert, we suggest the house-made banana pudding. Beer and wine are offered, and the two best wines with the barbecue are the Three Sisters Fat Boy Red and Fat Boy White from north Georgia (Dahlonega).
