Eclectic bar bites absorb the alcohol in the cocktails enjoyed by State Street yuppies at this nightclubby after-work haunt. The name explains a loosely-adhered-to spiritual theme: the three-story space is adorned with cheeky Buddha statues, and the pleasurably potent cocktails sport names like “The Afterlife” and “Purgatory’s Pleasure.” As for the food, it's not quite purgatory but it's not quite heaven, either---it’s all over the place in terms of both inspiration and quality. For instance, crab nachos and lobster tacos with dill cream cheese and mango salsa are ill-conceived, though their simpler, non-shellfish-based siblings pass.
