This is a brightly-lit neighborhood joint, where wholesome fifty and sixty-somethings mingle with college kids, and between-set musicians from the nearby Lion’s Lair. The bar is classic Americana, complete with a half-round conversation-friendly bar and a skilled bartender behind it. If you’re looking for a shot and a bar buddy, this is your place. The adjoining dining room hosts a steady crowd of early morning breakfast risers, lunchers and neighborhood dinner-seekers who come around for average-quality burgers and fries, chili and Mexican dishes and diner-type platters.
