THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Secret Garden Restaurant Restaurant Review:

An indoor dining room is decorated with antiques, lace and silver, much to the delight of ladies who lunch and brunch. Nevertheless, the biggest draw is the seating on the back patio, which is surrounded by gardens, a gazebo and rose bushes. The garden is lovely; it’s most spectacular in spring when the place is overrun with parties celebrating weddings and baby showers. (Book well in advance for Mother's Day.) Chef Michel Bardavid is from Lyon, France. His menu is mostly influenced by his homeland, but there are also Mediterranean touches to please the California palate. Starters include lobster bisque and warm crab salad. Entrées range from scallops with risotto to lamb chops to Roquefort-stuffed filet mignon. Desserts tend to incorporate seasonal fruits: fresh strawberries and Champagne sabayon; a crêpe stuffed with strawberry and banana, served with a vanilla and caramel sauce. Tasting menus from five to 12 courses are available upon request. Special three-course bistro menus at lunch and dinner change with the seasons.
