Sheila Tinnion had wanted to have a tearoom ever since coming from North Wales a number of years ago. She got her chance when she happened to pass by the Victorian building that houses Giovanni’s Café Italiano, went in for a look around, and ended up as the manager. After getting the restaurant running smoothly, she took over an upstairs room and opened as Sheila Teas. She does a full-course tea ($19.95) and a smaller one ($15.95) surrounded by flowery frou-frou. She imports Devonshire cream from England for a special treat. It’s a delightful respite from daily life for those who relax enough to give it a try.
