Sidebar is a sexy poolside space at Riviera Palm Springs. Check out the cozy fire pit or the Oasis bed lounges where guests graze on shareable plates and finger foods. Consider the scallops and beets, accented with oranges and goat cheese crema, and duck carnitas flavored with tamarind barbecue sauce and served with cornmeal crêpes, yogurt apple slaw and chipotle blackberries. More than a dozen specialty cocktails are available, including "Desert Heat" made with Don Julio tequila, lime juice, agave syrup, muddled pineapple and jalapeño. If you're looking for a real bargain, everything that is liquid and edible is 25 percent off during happy hour.
