About the restaurant & décor: This cost-effective player in the all-you-can-eat Brazilian skewered meat game is far more unassuming than its fellow churrascarias. It’s tucked away in a semi-hidden corner of a strip mall, and its compact semi-industrial dining space produces a no-frills casual vibe despite the presence of a surprisingly elaborate corner bar setup.

Food & Drinks: The way the place operates deviates from the norm. Instead of gauchos sauntering about with skewers, they stand at the end of a cafeteria-style line, ready to slice skirt steak, tri-tip and spit-roasted sausage after you’ve filled your plate with truffle mac & cheese, black bean stew and other surprises like ratatouille and tabbouleh. Guests wanting plated options can choose entrées like chicken stroganoff, shrimp stew with coconut and cassava, or pizza topped with Calabrese sausage. Finish the meal off with an order of flan.
