Silverado Steak House Restaurant Review:

Located just off of the South Point Casino, this steakhouse offers fine dining in a casual yet refined atmosphere. Décor is a tribute to both the modern and old-time cowboy, with a colorful mural depicting a cowboy chuckwagon, photos of saddles, smoked chandeliers and mahogany wood panels. Begin your meal with the jumbo lump crab cocktail overflowing with a mound of crab with heart of palm and lemon citrus vinaigrette, or the rich lobster bisque with Cognac. All entrées come with salad and potato or garden vegetable. Meats are the stars of the menu, such as the 28-day dry-aged Prime 14-oz NY strip; the 12- or 18-oz two-inch-thick roast prime rib; 16-oz bone-in rib-eye, which can be charbroiled or blackened; maple braised beef short rib simmered with Crown Royal Maple Whisky and Colorado lamb chops with port demi-glace. Add-ons include bourbon sauce, au poivre, Oscar-style king crab and bleu cheese crust. Seafood options range from line-caught grilled king salmon with garlic butter sauce to one pound Alaskan king crab legs and cold water lobster tails. Complementing the fare is a varied selection of 24 wines by the glass, 12 by the half bottle and more than 100 full bottles. Save room for the warm apple crumb cake with candied pecans and Crown Royal Apple crème anglaise.
