Simmzy's Restaurant Review:

Simmzy's takes its name from the Simms brothers, Mike and Chris, who opened this Manhattan Beach gastropub. The restaurant features an open-air setting with some seats looking out towards the ocean, plus an L-shaped bar with large filament light bulbs hanging overhead. Start off with the Cabo Ahi Salad, composed of cumin-crusted tuna served rare with arugula, mango, avocado, fried chili rings and lime crema. Rounding out the menu are burgers, sandwiches and gourmet takes on buffalo wings and other pub grub staples. Weekends bring on Bloody Marys and sangria as well as a few brunch dishes such as the Pub Scramble made with organic eggs, andouille sausage, bacon, onions, potatoes and cheese. For dessert, you'll find chocolate s'mores pudding and apple filled donuts. Overall, Simmzy's is a good, casual spot for brunch, lunch and dinner, though it can get loud and once in awhile some of the items could be fresher.
