This U Street destination is really more about uptown posturing in a sleek and trendy setting than about fine cooking for devotees of Thai and Asian food. True, the menu makes no bones about being a set-up for global cooking with Thai overtones, but the results are muddied flavors. Filling Chinese dumplings with cream cheese and then drizzling the fried morsels with a sweet sauce results in what more closely resembles a cheese danish than an Asian appetizer. Stick to the lunch menu---also available as take-out until evening---when the Thai fare is assembled in a commendable way. Particularly notable: drunken noodles with pork and fresh green chilies.
