The Smith Restaurant Review:

Catering to Lincoln Center pre-theater and opera crowds as well as stroller-bearing Upper West Siders, The Smith’s menu is accessible and almost no one can resist the potato chips with blue cheese fondue. Start your visit at the large raw bar while enjoying a crisp Albariño or Chenin Blanc from the abbreviated wine list. There's fun to be had in a bunch of barrel-aged liquors made into muddled drinks and punches. The pork chop with corn and bacon flapjacks is sweetened with maple jus, and the burger is one of the best you'll find in the neighborhood. Banana cream pie in a jar is a sweet little way to finish the meal. By the way, this is the sophisticated sibling of the rowdy East Village location.
