Socca offers a menu of French and Italian-inflected dishes, including notable house-made pastas, steak frites and chicken Milanese. But the real showstoppers are the pizzettes (try the one topped with fresh mozzarella, Parmesan, heirloom tomatoes, basil and shrimp). Best of all, Monday through Thursday they’re just $5 in the bar. Wednesday evenings, guests can create their own prix-fixe menu featuring ingredients from that day’s Green City Market. The wine list is loaded with pleasing finds, and the dessert offerings skew toward contemporary comfort, as in pecan-bourbon-bacon pie.
