A New York--style deli with loud conversation and fast service, Sonny’s stacks its salad sandwiches more than one-and-a-half inches high and serves them with pasta salad, potato salad or slaw. French fries are extra. Try the Rodney Dangerfield (corned beef, roast beef, salami and no respect) on toasted rye bread with a choice of salad. Open-faced hot sandwiches come with mashed potatoes and gravy or french fries. There are eight hot food entrées: chicken, meatloaf and stuffed sweet and sour cabbage among them. Bagels are served at least six ways, and buttermilk pancakes come with fresh fruit. If it’s omelets you crave, there are ten choices. The entire menu is available for take-out.
