Sonora Restaurant Restaurant Review

: Santa Fe décor sets a relaxed and laid back tone that nicely contrasts with the vibrancy of the food. The menu spans the scope of Latin cuisine and indicates the provenance of the entrées. Inventive tacos like one with quinoa, wild mushrooms and asparagus distinguish Sonora's versions from the standard beef and chicken filled varieties at your typical Latin restaurant. For more specialties from the Latin continent, choose a Columbian-inspired chicken breast stuffed with goat cheese, plantains and chorizo in a sherry and shallot reduction accompanied by arugula mashed potatoes and Peruvian-style sautéed onions and peppers. Or try the Spanish rendition of pan-seared branzino flavored with raspberry sauce and served over shrimp risotto. Specialty cocktails and margaritas add to the lively scene at the bar.
