An old-timer, this downtown Thai restaurant is picture-perfect inside, with its serene Thai motif and the pretty front patio for outdoor eating. But the kitchen can’t be counted on for always dishing up delicacies. We loved the red duck curry, but have found other dishes to be overseasoned and heavy. Lunch is a good time to stop by, and your best bets are the fried fish cakes and the steamed Thai spring roll with a crab meat stuffing. For entrées, specials include assorted classic noodle dishes, hard to find in these parts. The duck noodle soup is a sure bet, although the broth seemed forgotten with the Chiang Mai curry noodle soup. Office workers and shoppers fill the place quickly midday, so call ahead for a table.
