THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Steakhouse Restaurant Review:
There’s a blueprint for casino steakhouses: Harrah’s The Steakhouse was built with it. Everything you expect is here: high prices, clubby looks, dark lighting and lots of red meat cooked with classic technique. It’s formulaic but that doesn’t mean you won’t get a good meal, just not an inspired one. The filet mignon cuts like butter, and the baked potato is right on. Angus roast prime rib is a crowd-pleaser and can be paired with a variety of pedestrian steak sauces. For shear opulence, try the steak Oscar with crab meat. The wine list is well chosen but limited and expensive, and the staff is accommodating if not always efficient. Desserts are a delight---order the pecan cheesecake.
