The leafy green of Fitler Square is a fine backdrop for this popular neighborhood place that has become a hangout for local couples and graduate students alike. The bare bones decor that contributes to the noise, doesn’t deter them from dining on comforting food like roast brisket and sautéed salmon. The owner-chef, a disciple of Dmitri’s Mediterranean enclave, keeps his grilled octopus and Greek salad on the menu, but the crowd comes more the conviviality, and perhaps the lemon pound cake.
