Executive chef Tim Doolittle took over the small kitchen at The Stolen Grill and ably filled the shoes of opening chef Patrick Weber. He revamped the menu, updated the wine list and created a loyal following all his own. Among the must-try items are his foie gras terrine with pear and Cognac sauce and his caramelized scallops with creamed Gorgonzola. Doolittle modernizes and personalizes traditional dishes, like his lamb Wellington with shiitake mushroom duxelles and his Cervena venison with applewood bacon and pomegranate syrup. Make sure to save a room for dessert including the white chocolate crème brûlée. When making reservations, ask if Doolittle is doing his chefs tasting menu. Its a surefire way to get a little bit of everything, with paired wines, for a good price.
