The first Orlando location for Stonewood Tavern & Grill is in the burgeoning town of Heathrow, and still draws a good crowd most nights for American classics such as chicken potpie topped with puff pastry and a hefty pot roast platter with garlic mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables. The food is predictable but quite good: appetizers like garlicky bruschetta, buffalo shrimp and seared ahi, and entrées including plenty of grilled steaks and chops. Nothing cutting edge, but you'll have a dependable meal in a comfortable setting, a winning combination for return visits. A gluten-free menu pares down favorites for those with dietary challenges.
